Lovely country pub with lots of brass pots and pans hanging inside! Really nice food, I had a roast dinner which was delicious and the service was good if a little slow but it was very busy.
Delicious home-cooked food served by friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we were happy. All served in beautiful traditional pub surroundings with open fires. Brilliant!
An old fashioned country pub. Unless you can walk from Epping station or catch a bus, you will need a car to get here. Epping Forest in the area.Welcoming staff & a wood burner in the main space.Rather busy & noisy, but it was Sunday lunch, close to xmas.The food was mixed. Mini beef Wellington sounded better than it was.The pasta dish wasnt anything special.The rest of meal was enjoyed & deserts delicious.Reasonable price & clean
Stopped off on the way home to feed the hungry family. Huge welcoming fire place, good wholesome food and really well priced. A great option to consider before a long drive back up the M11.
Lovely atmosphere and great food in this beautiful pub. The owner (Ian) really goes the extra step from having a great fire going in the log burner when it's cold to hosting film nights with an outdoor cinema when it's hot. Also the beer is great and always severed with a smile.
