Friendly, clean and comfortable B&B next to a fantastic pub and within easy walking distance to Epping station.

I stayed with my Mum and bridesmaids at The Gate House the night before our wedding at Gaynes Park. I'd found The Gate House on Google maps as I wanted to stay somewhere close by and this was only a 6 minute drive! As a keen and organised Bride, I visited Jane over a year before our wedding to check out The Gate House and found it to be perfect for what we needed. Enough rooms for all of us and a living room and dining area space for hair and make up in the morning. Jane was amazing to communicate with leading up to the wedding - as we also decided to book the rooms for some guests for the night of the wedding too. When we arrived, Jane was there to greet us and all the rooms were ready and spotlessly clean. We are at the pub across the road for dinner (part of The Gate House) and had the most perfect ham, egg and chips! Just what I needed! One of my bridesmaids is vegan and they managed to create a vegan platter for her too which she loved. The living room was perfect to chill out in that night and then in the morning, Jane greeted us and started putting out continental breakfast items for us to help ourselves between hair and makeup - which worked perfectly! We were so calm when we left for the venue and that's credit to Jane, her hospitality and the lovely Gate House. Thank you Jane!

We stayed at the The Gate House B&B which is in the same yard as the Haywards restaurant, It was clean quiet and the cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely(just be aware it's a set cooked breakfast).. we had the package with accommodation and the three course A la carte...The food was simply delicious and full of flavour the service was attentive but not intrusive, we were served several amuse-bouche throughout the meal all with distinctive flavours to compliment the meal..the staff were really friendly and nice and the ambience in the restaurant was just right...It was a lovely birthday/night away and we will definitely be back...Oh and the pub is lovely and friendly...

Lovely place, right next to a traditional enlish pub and a resturant. Price was good, excellent full English breakfast

Had a very comfortable stay at The Gate House, sat nav took me straight there. Ample car park too but it was a Tuesday night. The breakfast was fantastic, fruit and yogurt followed by a full English, the extra 5 was well worth it. Jane was on hand to top up tea, coffee and anything else we wanted. Would thoroughly recommend the Gate House and will stay again. There is also a pub next door serving food and a restaurant on the same complex so no need to trail around to find a meal.
